Time is running out. But with three days left of the session, there is still a chance, SB 46, a bill to ban Pesticides from High Schools, playgrounds, municipal parks and playing fields can become a law in CT. With less than three days left in the CT General Assembly’s 2014 session, we still have time to get this bill passed, but it must happen by midnight Wednesday. The Senate intends to pass SB 46 today, but intentions are not enough.
We need the bill passed and sent to the House of Representatives today so that we can secure passage prior to Wednesday night’s deadline. PLEASE CALL SENATE PRESIDENT DON WILLIAMS AND YOUR SENATOR NOW AND URGE THEM TO PASS THIS BILL OUT OF THE SENATE TODAY.
Please ask Senator Williams and your State Senator to do the following:
“Please vote yes on SB 46 and protect our children from exposure to toxic chemical pesticides where they play. Please put the health of CT citizens above the corporate interests who benefit from the sale of these toxic chemicals.”
(1) TODAY call Senate President Williams at 1-800-842-1420.
(2) TODAY e-mail or call your State Senator. Find your Senator and contact information by clicking HERE.
Thank you for taking action TODAY. There are less than 3 days left, your voice is critical NOW. Protect our children from toxic chemicals in the places they play. The Connecticut State Senate needs to hear from you.
